Pedaling for a Cause: Hudson’s “Tour de Seafarers” Cycling $uccess!
After 23 days, 21 stages, 3509km and 128 combined hours in the saddle, Team Hudson’s “Tour de France” simulation, affectionately dubbed the “Tour de Seafarers”, has come to a bittersweet but successful end!
Through rain, wind, sore muscles and fatigue, our determined team persevered in a grueling trek covering a distance greater than that from Perth to Melbourne! All of this in the name of supporting the seafarers who are often facing rain, wind, sore muscles, fatigue and more while at sea, working to keep our world running.
While Team Hudson was speeding through each stage of their cycling journey, the donations came rolling in! We couldn’t have accomplished so much without our colleagues cheering us on with accolades, words of encouragement, and generous contributions.
Hudson matched each donation made to The Mission to Seafarers fundraiser and is excited to announce that we raised more than A$50,000! The donated funds will go a long way to help The Mission to Seafarers care for “merchant seafarers of all ranks, nationalities, and beliefs.”
Thank you to everyone who donated to help make this fundraiser a success! Special thanks to the Team Hudson cyclists for their inspiration and endurance!
