Project Play! Kranevo: The Hudson Team Gives Local School Playground a Much-Needed Refresh!
Hudson is dedicated to community outreach and making positive change, both great and small. With this in mind, Hudson’s Varna team took the initiative to enhance the lives of children in their local community. Over the course of several weeks, the Hudson Varna team refreshed the playground facilities for students at the Center for Special Educational Support in Kranevo. Founded in 1961, the academy teaches students with disabilities from first through eighth grade.
Due to lack of funding, the playground was in disrepair, with rusted, unusable equipment, and overgrowth covering the soccer fields and basketball courts. The Hudson team saw the need for a safe, fun environment for the students and sprang into action. Team Varna recruited family members, banded together, and got to work!
After removing the excess foliage, the team and their families de-rusted and repainted all of the sports equipment and installed newly purchased nets for both the soccer field and basketball court. New soccer balls and basketballs were donated, along with clothing, shoes, and other essentials.
Hudson recognizes its duty to support the communities we live and work in and we are proud of Team Varna for making a difference by creating an enriching environment for students to enjoy for years to come!
